Broadly speaking, change implementation methods lie along a continuum between two extremes. ‘Hard’ change models are suitable for relatively simple ‘difficulties’ which must be overcome. On the other hand, ‘soft’ models, often linked to organisational development interventions, are designed to deal with more complex, ‘messy’ situations where the course of action is less straightforward. This methodology will guide you through the first, ‘hard’ type of change model.
